The 10 series program is designed to sequentially work a different part of the body, leading up to final integration in the last three sessions. The first three sessions are called the "sleeve sessions" and are devoted to loosening and balancing the surface layers of the connective tissue. Session # 1 works primarily with the breath and the ribcage. Session # 2 focuses on creating a base of support by working the arches of the feet and the lower legs. Session # 3 works the sides of the body also known as the lateral line. Attention is placed on the pelvis, the lower back, and the ribcage.
The next four sessions are referred to as the "core sessions" as they work on a deeper level of the body. Session # 4 works on defining the inner line by working the inside of the leg and the pelvis. Session # 5 focuses on the mid-thorax region of the body, putting attention on lengthening the abdominals and the psoas. Session # 6 works on the back of the body including the sacrum, and specifically addresses any spinal rotations in the vertebrae. Session # 7 works the upper back (shoulder girdle), neck front and back, head, face, and eventually inner jaw and nasal work.
Sessions 8-10 are for integration and are determined based on what parts of the body still need further attention. Typically, the 8th session might be a lower session, putting attention on the support in the legs and pelvis. The 9th would then be an upper session, with more detailed work on the arms, shoulders and neck. The last session works to "horizontalize the hinges" ensuring that all hinges (toe, ankle, knee, on up) are working properly and are more horizontal than at an angle.
